An arranged marriage between two families brought together Lục Cẩn Niên and An Hảo. While they pretended to have a close relationship in front of others, behind closed doors they were indifferent towards each other.

On the night of their wedding, An Hảo revealed to Lục Cẩn Niên that because their marriage... was forced, she did not have any feelings for him. He responded by saying that they should have a "three no's" rule.

He would not touch her in crowded areas or in public, he would not introduce her as his wife to others, and no one would know that they were living together. An Hảo looked at him with disbelief, but Lục Cẩn Niên's face suddenly changed, and he winked at her.

He explained that in crowded areas, he would not touch her, but he could still stroke her hair. If she refused to be introduced as his wife, he would tell everyone that he was her husband instead. The last thing he said was during an interview when he stated, "Every day, I sleep with An Hảo."
